Well..........
That turned out better than I planned.
We DID go to the movies yesterday, and I DID see 'Julie and Julia'.
It was alright, it gave me the insane urge to cook....
And its time fooooooor......
SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME MOVIE REVIEW SEQUENCE GO!!!
Alright, (Straightens tie and blows nose) so, 'Julie and Julia' was good, it made you want to cook, which movies about cooking usually do to me, but this was like watching 'Hells Kitchen' on crack. Meryl Streep was, as always, fantastic and funny, she did a spectacular job of portraying Julia Child, especially the accent, I loved the accent.
Amy Adams, on the other hand, I was disappointed with. Her acting was shmaltzy and shoddy at best at certain points in the movie. Her acting could convince anybody that this was NOT a true story, but a cheesy dream born out of a depressed crack addict diving into their second pack of Marlboros, hitting their child in a Wal Mart.
SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME MOVIE REVIEW OVER!!!
Alright then, now that thats over, I'd like to talk to you about 'Bonnie and Clyde'.
Right after we got home from the movies, 'Bonnie and Clyde' came on, and being the Bank Robber movie addict that I am, I had to watch it.
And honestly, I loved it.
Faye Dunaway as Bonnie Parker was phenominal, you could really believe that you were watching the real Bonnie, her actions and comments could easily be believed.
Warren Beatty as Clyde Barrow was one of thw better performances I've seen in a movie. His character in the movie could be regarded as the stereotyped gangster that cares about nothing more than getting money, but what he brought to the character made him different.
Both of them together was a believable couple, full of their flaws and fights, but always loving each other, down to the violent end.
Very good movie in general.
I also realized after watching it that I preffered Bank Robbers to Super Villains, mainly because Bank Robbers were REAL, and the publics reaction to them was not terror and disgust but reverence and smug satisfaction at the riches being stolen from the good fortuned people.
Thats all for today I suppose, buh bye!
Beatles: Blackbird singin in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arive. Blackbird singin in the dead of night, take these sunken eyes and learn to see. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free. Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly. Into the light of the dark black night....
